So, I´m here in Amsterdam for the onAIR tour visit and I must say it has been a long day of many sessions but very interesting. When I got here my room reservation for the hotell was “lost in translation” and I had to walk to two other hotels before I got a room. Not a pleasant way to start my stay, but it worked out in the end.
Adobe is travelling to Europe, visiting 12 selected cities telling us about Adobes new product AIR. This will probably be the most interesting day in my devigner history. Looking forward to it, and as I can see from the website, big names will be present, such as Lee Brimelow, Mike Chambers and Christian Cantrell. I´m going when they visit Amsterdam on the 4th of april and i´m really looking forward to it. If any questions should arrive before or after the seminar, I´ll be happy to answer.
Adobe has officially release their new RIA platform and I´m happy to inform that it works great. I´ve tested it for a while, as in beta states, but even then it showed me some neet stuff I liked. Just to mention som there are Drag and drop, Clipboard-functions, SQLite database storage and many more. AIR makes users create stunning html/javascript/flash based RIA´s for your desktop, so any developers in that direction of expertice can develope. Transitions in desktop applications are now an opportunity. Just visit Adobe´s website and download.
